Chris Pope: I have a Carpenter cycle that I remember my dad buying second hand in roughly 1966 and has been in family since , the number is 5133.

My father used it for a few years then passed to me at the age of 13 I thought it would look good with ape hangers!!! Pretend easy rider. My dad got it back and repainted it. I realised it much later and used it to travel 20 miles and back. The chain gear was changed to 3speed.

I am now removing the over paint. It has got original brakes and gears , I am going to return to cotter pin crank.
